JMI Southern Lakes began in Queenstown and Wanaka in 2016 as a branch off of our JMI Construction (Christchurch) business. Developing into the Southern Lakes district came naturally, as the location is a family favourite for Johnno (Director of JMI).

With a new location comes a whole new range of considerations. We've researched and built in the Queenstown and Wanaka region long enough to have a firm understanding of what can and can't be built in the conditions, and which regulations must be met.

Our Values:

At JMI, we have a different way of looking at things, and generate a lot of 'out of the box' ideas to get your project up and running. The team are strong advocates of quality over quantity, and bringing families together. We want to change the way people think about modern living - new houses seem to be big, cold and plain. We want to bring back family homes with warmth and personality within Queenstown and Wanaka.

Having a background in architectural design provides us with both an in-depth understanding of the complexities involved in building, and an innate ability to visualise unique solutions for specific spaces, especially when it comes to renovation.
